Pol Roger – Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill Brut – 1982
This rare 1982 vintage was purchased by my grandfather and stored for several decades in a dresser within a cool, dry barn.
The bottle remains boxed and in good overall condition. The neck level is relatively high (only marginally lower than that of a recently purchased vintage).
A visual inspection under backlight suggests the liquid is clear to partly clear, though full assessment is limited by the green glass and the age of the bottle. No obvious cloudiness or foreign material is visible.
The original foil capsule is fully intact with undisturbed perforations. One small area of age-related wear reveals the wire cage beneath, consistent with careful long-term storage.
