Always a pleasure to open a bottle of Veuve Clicquot vintage - La Grande Dame. A sunset golden colour to the wine with relatively decent C02 activity in the glass - tiny bubbles. This 1989 example really excites you from aromas of richness from toast, honey, apricots and more. Wonderful golden honey, brioche taste with dried stone fruits and hint of smokiness / burnt toast.
